<br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Consider Authorization to Purchase Two Ford F-150 Trucks for Parks <br />Maintenance <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD’S APPROVAL: Jennifer Fink, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: Dean Lotter <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Authorize purchase of a new 2019 Ford F-150 4 X 4 Crew Cab Truck with 6.5’ Box and a new 2019 Ford <br />F-150 4 X 4 Regular Cab Truck with 8’ Box. <br /> <br />Legislative History: <br />December 11, 2018 – Council adopted the final 2019 Budgets and 2019-2027 CIP, which included funding in the <br />2019 Capital Asset Replacement Program to replace two Ford F-150 Pickup Trucks. <br /> <br />February 12, 2008 – Council authorized the purchase of 2008 Ford Pickup Truck for Parks Maintenance. <br /> <br />May 8, 2007 – Council authorized the purchase of Park Maintenance Vehicles & Equipment, which included one Ford <br />F-150 Pickup Truck. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br />New F-150 Pickup Trucks will be purchased from Midway Ford through the Minnesota Cooperative <br />Purchasing Venture. <br /> <br />2019 Ford F-150 V8 with Crew Cab 2019 Ford F-150 V6 with Regular Cab <br />Base Price $27,069.92 Base Price $22,774.92 <br />Options $3,472.00 Options $2,993.00 <br />Transit Tax $20.00 Transit Tax $20.00 <br />Total Cost $30,561.92 Total Cost $25,787.92 <br /> <br />The 2019 Capital Asset Replacement Program has $31,000 and $25,800 allocated in 2019 to replace <br />the original vehicles. <br /> <br />It is anticipated the original vehicles will be sold at auction for $3,000 each.
