Rev3 Portland was a one- <br />time event occurring in 2012. <br />● Handled all local aspects of race coordination for national brand Rev3 Triathlon. <br />● Liaised with eleven (11) separate jurisdictions for event approval and facility. <br />● Worked with local volunteer coordinator to train more than 30 individuals to get WA/OR Flagger Certification in advance <br />of event. <br />● Designed bike course through Multnomah County that was safe and challenging for all athletes - first time triathletes to <br />veteran professionals. <br /> <br />Director of Marketing <br />Northwest Athletic Conference <br />2004 – December 2012 <br />About: The NWAC is the governing body for community college athletics in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Managing 35 <br />community colleges and sanctioning nine sports with more than 350 teams and 3,600 athletes. <br />● Coordinated public relations for championship events including writing press releases and scheduling press conferences. <br />● Updated NWAC brand through logo redesign, social networking and live video broadcasts of championship events. <br />● Designed and sold NWAC Championship merchandise products from creation to production to sales. <br />● Developed an online eligibility system, creating a secure website for schools to submit eligibility information. <br />● Maintained regular correspondence with all athletic directors and coaches regarding events, marketing initiatives, NWAC <br />information and deadlines. <br />● Served as NWAC Basketball Championship tournament director negotiating venue contracts, coordinating television and <br />webcast coverage, public relations, team room blocks, volunteer recruitment and managing the athlete experience. <br /> <br />Event Marketing Manager, Pro Cycling Tour <br />Threshold Sports, LLC <br />2002 - 2004 <br />About: Threshold Sports owned and operated the Pro Cycling Tour, a professional cycling race series with events in <br />Philadelphia, New York City, San Francisco and Miami including the USPRO Championship Road Race. Attending <br />world-class racers included Lance Armstrong, George Hincapie, Chris Horner and Jens Voigt. Events each <br />received regional live television coverage, international press reporting and an average of 500,000 spectators. <br />● Collaborated with sponsor marketing and public relations personnel to promote sponsors’ products in-line with their <br />brand message and in conjunction with the Pro Cycling Tour brand. <br />● Organized national advertising campaign through Wall Street Journal, VeloNews and The Outdoor Life Network. <br />● Executed sponsorship contracts at each event by coordinating benefits with operations, public relations and marketing <br />departments. <br />● Interfaced with television broadcast networks including ABC and The Outdoor Life Network (now Versus) for promotion, <br />event day logistics and delivery of sponsor benefits. <br />● Recruited and directed agencies to develop marketing strategy and implementation.
