September 13, 2020 <br /> Neighbors of 1546 16th Terrace NW <br /> Dear Neighbors, <br /> We live at 1546 16th Terrace NW. We are submitting a proposal to the City to construct an <br /> accessory garage on our property. As part of the City's process we will have a public hearing at <br /> the Planning Commission and City Council and require City Council approval for our project. <br /> You will receive a notice from the City about that public hearing in the coming weeks. It is your <br /> right to come and speak about our project with the Planning Commission and City Council. We <br /> are reaching out to you now to get your feedback and input about our proposal and to try to <br /> address any concerns you might have about the project before those hearings. <br /> The proposed building will be a detached garage located toward the back (Northwest corner) of <br /> our property. It will have a footprint of 840 square feet with a storage area above. We have tried <br /> to locate the building to minimize the impact to views of all neighbors. We feel this is the best <br /> location on our property for this building primarily because it will cause the least visual change <br /> for neighbors. I have included a simple plan of the area showing the proposed building <br /> footprint. Per the City requirements the building will match our house in color, materials, and <br /> the general style of the house. <br /> If you have any concerns or wish to share your thoughts please reach out to us to discuss <br /> them.
