Mayor Johnson discussed her recommendations for the Public Safety Commission. She noted this group had <br />three openings. She supported Geoff Holliman and Stephanie Kitzhaber being reappointed and that the <br />remaining seat remain open versus forcing a person into this seat. She recommended Geoff Holliman be given <br />the reduced term seat. She noted Director Paetznick was working to find a student commissioner for this <br />group. <br /> <br />Councilmember Burg explained she appreciated the knowledge and background Stephanie brought to the PSC. <br /> <br />Lotter asked if staff should reach out to the two remaining candidates to see if they were interested in serving <br />on the PSC. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson explained she was pleased by the strengths of the new Commissioners. She believed these <br />Commissioners would greatly contribute to the community. <br /> <br />Councilmember Burg agreed the City had a very strong slate of candidates and she was pleased the City would <br />benefit from their knowledge and experiences. <br /> <br />Spangrud summarized the list of appointments with the Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson thanked all of the Commissioners for their service to the community. <br /> <br />Lotter requested the Councilmembers select which Commission they would like to serve as a liaison for. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dunsworth stated she would like to learn more about another Commission. She asked that she <br />be allowed to serve as the Planning Commission liaison. <br /> <br />Councilmember Burg explained she could not serve as the EDC liaison, but would be willing to serve with any <br />other Commission. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jacobsen indicated he would serve as the EDC liaison. <br /> <br />Councilmember Burg stated she would be happy to serve on the PSC or PREC. <br /> <br /> <br />Worksession adjourned at 5:33 pm <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Terri Spangrud <br />City Clerk <br />
