<br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson requested Mr. Tuke provide the Council with further information on the diversity work he <br />completed in the Bloomington. <br /> <br />Mr. Tuke stated he still volunteers in Bloomington with a community organization. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson questioned if Mr. Tuke would be interested in serving on an Inclusive Community Task Force <br />in New Brighton. <br /> <br />Mr. Tuke commented he would be interested in serving the community in this way. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion Regarding Appointment to Fill Planning Commission Vacancy <br />Mayor Johnson stated she would be interested in the Council holding a worksession to discuss the Inclusive <br />Community Task Force. Lotter explained he would put together an email to update the Council and would <br />forward this on to the City Councilmembers. <br /> <br />Councilmember Burg explained both candidates interviewed very well. She was of the opinion Youssef would <br />fit on the Planning Commission very well and Salat could serve the community well on an Inclusive <br />Community Task Force. She indicated the City was very fortunate to have such great candidates. <br /> <br />Councilmember Allen agreed stating Salat could be very valuable to the community. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson agreed with these statements noting both candidates were great. She supported Youssef being <br />placed on the Planning Commission.
