Consider Application for Therapeutic Massage Salon and Personal Service License <br />for Rebalancing Solutions. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Allen to approve the Consent Agenda <br />as presented. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jacobsen commented on the feedback the Council received from the public regarding <br />parking concerns surrounding the Benedictine Health Care Center. He stated based on this feedback the <br />Council would be approving a Resolution designating a No Parking Zone on 27th Avenue NW. <br />Angela Fredrickson, 2906 16th Street NW, stated she was the New Brighton farmer’s market manager. She <br />thanked the City for consider her transient merchant license. She reported the 2019 farmers market would run <br />from Wednesday, June 19th through Wednesday, October 2nd from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. She explained the <br />farmers market would be held at the New Brighton Community Center this year and stated she already had <br />20 vendors signed up. <br />Mayor Johnson commented the new location for the farmers market could be very advantageous. Ms. <br />Fredrickson agreed stating she was looking forward to see how the new location positively impacts the <br />farmers market. <br />Councilmember Burg thanked Ms. Fredrickson for her efforts and asked if any food trucks were being <br />planned for this year’s farmers market. Ms. Fredrickson commented three or four food trucks were being <br />planned. <br />Councilmember Burg asked if Ms. Fredrickson was in need of volunteers. Ms. Fredrickson stated she could <br />use volunteers to assist with setup of the farmers market each Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember Allen commended the City for receiving a grant from MRAC to assist with completing a <br />mural at the New Brighton Community Center. City Manager Lotter discussed the artist that would be <br />assisting the City with this project noting it was a friend of Director Schlichting’s and had completed murals <br />all around the world. <br /> <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />1.
