Consideration of proposed Design Guidelines for Northwest Quadrant. <br />Report No. 05-277. <br /> <br />Director of Community Development Grant Femelius stated that DSU was hired to <br />complete a framework plan to formulate the vision for the Northwest Quadrant. <br />It was explained that this was a concept plan, not including every detail. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Moore-Sykes to <br />adopt the attached Northwest Quadrant Design Guidelines as presented!. <br /> <br />IAyes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br /> <br />Commission Liaison Reports~ Announcements. and Updates <br />Municipal Advisory Commission Reports: <br /> <br />The City Manager Matt Fulton expressed his appreciation for Council <br />Member Moore-Sykes and her contribution to the community. <br /> <br />1. Council Member Mary Burg - Planning Commission. <br />Council Member Burg reported there was not a Public Safety meeting. <br />Also Council Member Burg attended the National League of Cities in <br />Charlotte, NC. <br /> <br />2. Council Member Ann Hoffman - Parks, Recreation, and Environmental <br />Commission. <br />Council Member Hoffman was in Charlotte attending the National <br />League of Cities, resulting in her absence at the Parks Recreation and <br />Environmental Commission meeting. Best wishes were expressed towards <br />Council Member Moore-Sykes. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />3. Council Member Sharon Doffing - Economic Development Commission- <br />Council Member Doffing reported that the Economic Development <br />Commission, along with members from other commissions went on a <br />housing tour to help formulate ideas to be incorporated into the NWQ <br />design standards. She also reported that the Northwest Youth and <br />Family Services will be having its Board meeting. Council Member <br />Doffing indicated any donations to Northwest Youth and Family Services <br />would be appreciated. <br /> <br />6.
