Paetznick, Director of Public Safety <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />Recommendation: Approval of the Agreement between the City of New Brighton and the Mounds <br />View School District for School Resource Officer (SRO) services at Irondale High <br />School, Highview Middle School, Bel Air Elementary School, Sunnyside <br />Elementary School, Pike Lake Education Center, and Early Childhood Education <br />Center for school year 2019-2020. <br /> <br />Legislative History: The City of New Brighton and Mounds View Schools have a long history of <br />cooperative agreements for the use of Police Officers as SROs at various schools <br />since 1994. The City Attorney has previously reviewed and approved the <br />agreement. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: The City of New Brighton will be reimbursed 100% of the personnel and <br />program costs for the nine-month school year for 2019-2020 for the School <br />Resource Officers. This is estimated to result in revenue in 2020 of <br />approximately $302,400. <br /> <br />Explanation: The current agreement will include three full-time School Resource Officers: <br />Officer Aaron Slack at Irondale High School; Officer Matt Farmer at Highview <br />Middle School; and Officer Brian DeDominces serving Bel Air Elementary School, <br />Sunnyside Elementary School, Pike Lake Education Center, and Early Childhood <br />Education Center. <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Anthony S.
