1

A. FIRM BACKGROUND

1. History

GDO Law has operated as a professional limited liability company since 2010. The
firm practices in the areas of municipal prosecution, business and banking law, real
estate, estate planning and probate, and family law.

The firm currently prosecutes in Ramsey, Washington, Anoka, and Isanti counties.
We represent the cities of White Bear Lake, Gem Lake, St. Paul Park, Lino Lakes,
and Isanti. We also handle prosecution matters for four townships. We have been
representing the city of New Brighton in prosecution matters since 2018.

2. Number of Attorneys / Availability

GDO Law consists of seven attorneys and six legal assistants. Three of our
attorneys are experienced prosecutors: Managing Partner Robb Olson, Partner
Heather Monnens, and Associate Attorney Luke McClure. Please see the attached
resumes for attorney qualifications and professional affiliations.

Our prosecutors are readily accessible to the police departments we serve during
normal work hours. Additionally, we are available by cell phone 24/7 for
consultations with police officers as needed, and for weekend probable cause
determinations. We take pride that any questions by individual officers, request for
charges, or formal complaints are usually answered and completed within the same
day of the request. We are available to meet with members of the police department
in person as needed.

We will not need to hire additional attorneys or support staff if we are awarded the
prosecution contract for the City of New Brighton. Currently, we are already
handling New Brighton’s cases, and have successfully represented the city in
numerous trials, contested hearings, and a successful appeal.

3. Support Personnel

We have two prosecution paralegals. Ryan Schmidtbauer has a paralegal degree
from Hamline University, and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bemidji
State University. Jody Hudalla has a paralegal degree from Rasmussen College,
and worked for five years as a Senior Court Clerk in Ramsey County. Both have
extensive experience preparing criminal complaints, interacting with court
personnel, defense counsel and prosecution witnesses, as well as dealing with
various law enforcement agencies.
