ORGANIZATIONAL CHART <br /> <br />COLLABORATIVE, INNOVATIVE leadership is a hallmark of New Brighton’s senior leadership. The City <br />Council appreciates how the team and staff make its job easier and respects and appreciates the City Manager <br />positfon and the Senior Leadership Team. The new City Manager will be entering into a healthy organizatfon <br />with a positfve working environment where staff feel nurtured. Staff feel emboldened to be their best. <br />The organizatfon has enjoyed a strong central leader and strong leadership team. The City Manager sets a <br />strong tone for the organizatfon but is not adverse to strong opinions from its leadership team. Staff feel they <br />work in a positfve and supportfve workplace culture where there is a balance of productfve work and fun. <br />The Senior Leadership Team enjoys working together as a team. Silos have been removed throughout the <br />years, and the Department Directors have a long-term commitment to the organizatfon and the motto of “One <br />City. One Mission. One Vision.” <br />City Hall is currently undergoing constructfon improvements. The City Council has placed a focus on funding <br />technology initfatfves through the next four years. The City has also placed a focus on energy efficient <br />initfatfves such as solar panels, natural rain gardens in parks, GreenSteps, and Tree City USA, and has been a <br />leader in lobbying for legislatfve actfon to advocate for change. <br />The City is in a strong financial positfon both today and looking forward. The organizatfon is at a good point to <br />transitfon to a new City Manager who will assist the City in building on the momentum of what has been <br />achieved. Innovatfve tools for financing future projects have been adopted. The City has established a Capital <br />Asset Replacement Program for Fleet and Non-Fleet Replacement, IT, and Pavement Management. The City <br />will enjoy debt-free streets in 2025, reallocatfng LGA from the General Fund to support funding of annual <br />street reconstructfon projects. As a result, the City will no longer need to issue external debt or bonding for <br />any street reconstructfon projects. The City received a bond ratfng upgrade in 2019 to a AA+. The last upgrade <br />was received in May of 2009.
