August 25, 2020 Page 5 of 5 <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Dunsworth to table action on the <br />sign replacement for the property at 388 Cleveland Avenue in order to allow the applicant to bring <br />forward a sign request that conformed with City requirements and that the matter be reviewed by the <br />Planning Commission prior to being brought back to the City Council. <br />A roll call vote was taken. 5 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried <br />3.Consider a Resolution Authorizing Administration of Coronavirus Relief Funds by the New <br />Brighton Economic Development Authority. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Allen to approve a Resolution to <br />Authorize administration of Coronavirus Relief Funds by the New Brighton Economic <br />Development Authority. <br />City Manager Massopust indicated Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola would <br />be presenting this item to the Council. <br />Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola stated if this resolution is approved, <br />the Council, operating as the Economic Development Authority, will convene following the <br />City Council meeting to discuss details surrounding the establishment and administration of <br />local grant programs for businesses and residents in response to COVID-19. He commented on <br />the partnerships the City would be pursuing to assist with administering programs that would <br />allocate a portion of the $1.74 million the City received in CARES Act dollars. <br />A roll call vote was taken. 5 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Devin Massopust <br />City Manager Massopust reported a second Listening Session would be held on Wednesday, <br />September 2nd at 6:30 p.m. <br />Graeme Allen <br />Councilmember Allen encouraged residents to take advantage of the New Brighton cleanup <br />day, which would be held on Saturday, September 19th from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the New <br />Brighton Public Works Department. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the Council was in the midst of the 2021 budget.
