<br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COMMISISON CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Parks and Recreation Comprehensive System Plan Overview and Update <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD’S APPROVAL: <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />Recommendations: Provide feedback from an EDC perspective on needed park <br />improvements / ways to improve the City’s sense of place through our <br />active and passive park lands. <br /> <br />In General: The City Council authorized the Parks and Recreation Department to contract <br />with WSB and Associates to undertake a comprehensive park system planning <br />effort in response to the recommendations from the 2040 Comprehensive <br />Plan. This is the first plan update since 2006. <br /> <br />Comments: Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Fink will present information on the <br />project, provide a status update, and seek your input on the materials <br />presented.
