TL Erickson Enterprises
13170 Gemstone Ct
Apple Valley, MN 55124
612/325-4393
floyd58523@gmail.com

June 4, 2019

City of New Brighton
803 Old Highway 8 NW
New Brighton, MN 55112

RE: Asbestos survey: Scope of this survey was to sample and inspect the roof system
of the building.

Korean Church
701 8th Ave NW
New Brighton, MN

TL Erickson Enterprises completed sampling and inspection of the roof system of the
building located at Korean Church Building. A previous asbestos survey had been
completed of the building for the purpose of demolition. The only area of the roof that
was available for sampling was the roofing tar on the top of the rubber roof membrane.
The previous survey had assumed the roofing materials under the rubber roof membrane
to contain asbestos as the building was still occupied.

The roofing system of the building has a tar and rock bottom layer with a newer rubber
roof membrane placed on top.

The building roof system consists of 3 main areas. The south area is the Low roof. This
roof was inspected, and destructive sampling was completed, no asbestos containing
materials were located on the south low roof areas.

The middle section of the building is listed at the Middle roof. This is a flat roof section
that is the same as the low roof area. Destructive sampling was completed and no
asbestos containing materials were located in the middle section.

The North section of the building is listed at the Tall Roof. This portion of the building
appears to be the oldest section of the building. The Tall roof has a parapet surrounding
the edge of the roof.
