C. Department Happenings and Upcoming Events – City Staff

Director Fink stated former Mayor Dave Jacobson passed away and a memorial service
would be held for him at Sunny Square Park on Saturday, February 8th. She commented on
the number of first responders in the City that had duel -duty. She reported Mike Schute,
Charlie Prasek and Chris Wolla were recently recognized with Letters of Commendation for
events that occurred in the City in 2019. She updated the Commission on the solar array
that was installed on the Community Center and reported a larger system would be
installed this spring, which was a great opportunity for the City. She explained she met with
representatives at Ramsey County where she reviewed initial design concepts for the
shelter and restrooms at Lions Park. The goal would be to have the drawings done for this
project in the next four weeks. She stated early voting was taking place at the Community
Center through February 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

VII.
