Ordinance No. 880 <br />Short TennRentals <br />2/9/21 Ord 874 Col <br />83 (4) In -Unit Posting. The following information shall be posted in a conspicuous place within the short <br />84 term rental: <br />85 a. Name and contact information for the resident agent in cha a ofmonitoring the vroperty while <br />86 renters are present. <br />87 b. Street Address of the subiect property. <br />88 c. Floor plan indicatina fire exits and escape routes. <br />89 (5) Compliance with Local Ordinances. No owner shall undertake or allow the short-term rental of a <br />90 dwelling unit in a manner that does not comply with all applicable City Ordinances, the laws of the <br />91 State of Minnesota, and this Article. <br />92 <br />Sec. 13-270. Effect of Short Term Rental Permit Approval. <br />93 <br />(1) <br />Effective Dates. Issuance of a short term rental permit shall authorize use of the property as a short <br />94 <br />110 <br />term rental per the following guidelines: <br />95 <br />of Section 13-260, the property owner shall be ordered to correct the violation and take any/all <br />a. All short term rental permits issued between January la` and October 3l' of any given calendar <br />96 <br />113 <br />year shall expire at midnight on December 31' of that same calendar year. <br />97 <br />offense, the permit shall be immediately suspended and directed to the City Council for reinstatement, <br />b. Sale of a property or transfer of ownership rights to a non -permit holder shall <br />101 <br />invalidate an issued short term rental permit. The new owner must apply for and receive a new short <br />102 <br />term rental permit to re-establish short term rental rights. Prospective owners wishing to establish short <br />103 <br />term rental rights on a property prior to acquisition may apply for a permit iointly with the present <br />104 <br />property owner. <br />105 <br />(3) <br />Renewal. To ensure existing permit holders can avoid a lapse in eligibility, permit holders are <br />106 <br />encouraged to avoly for renewal of their permit after November I' for the following calendar year. <br />107 <br />Sec. 13-280. Permit Suspension or Revocation. <br />108 <br />Any short-term rental found to be out of compliance with the requirements of Section 13-260 shall be subject <br />109 <br />to suspension or revocation <br />110 <br />(1) First Offense. Upon determining a short-term rental property is out of compliance with any provision <br />111 <br />of Section 13-260, the property owner shall be ordered to correct the violation and take any/all <br />9 112 <br />appropriate actions necessary to prevent further violations. <br />113 <br />(2) Second Offense. Upon determining that a second offense has occurred within 365 days of an initial <br />SLI ❑E 114 <br />offense, the permit shall be immediately suspended and directed to the City Council for reinstatement, <br />115 <br />amendment or revocation. <br />Page 4 of 6 <br />
