By reviewing Map 2.8 Park Assessment Rankings, the north portion of the city
has the highest number of parks with the lowest service level. Other parks in the system have a
medium service level but it should be noted within the time frame of this planning document (10-
20 years), these parks, without improvements, could fall into a lower service level.
There are four parks with a low service level ranking: Sunny Square Park, Creekview Park,
Brightwood Hills Golf Course, and Silver Oaks Park. Some parks are given lower rankings
due to lack of accessibility at the park due to the fact that these parks were developed prior to
current accessibility standards were developed. Any new construction or addition to the park
needs to consider both the new and old amenities and bring these up to date with current
accessibility standards. Refer to individual park assessments in the Appendix of this document.
*Building and golf course not included in assessment.
