<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Parks and Recreation Department <br />Scholarships <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The purpose of the City of New Brighton’s scholarship fund is to provide access to the City’s <br />recreation and leisure services to New Brighton residents who demonstrate a financial need. <br /> <br />New Brighton’s scholarship financial guidelines are the same guidelines used by the school <br />districts for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. New Brighton Parks and Recreation requires <br />recipients to provide a copy of the approval from the school district’s Free and Reduced Lunch <br />Program as proof of their need. Other income documentation will also be accepted which <br />demonstrates their need. <br /> <br />New Brighton residents who demonstrate financial need are asked to pay half of the fee. Funds <br />are available on a first come, first serve basis. <br /> <br />Donations to the scholarship program have come from individuals, companies, non-profits and <br />community organizations.
