<br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />Commissioner McQuillan stated he originally thought this language was city-wide but asked if this <br />Ordinance was just for the industrial portions of the City. Assistant Director of Community Assets <br />and Development Gozola reported this ordinance would be a tool that could be used city-wide. <br />Commissioner Enanaa questioned if new signage would be posted after this Ordinance was <br />approved. Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola stated no new signs <br />would be posted in the City. <br />Commissioner Melquist inquired where semis would be able to park now that they cannot park in <br />the street. Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola reported typically <br />trucking companies have large lots that have a certain capacity. He indicated these companies <br />know they can expand out onto the streets at times and they were not taking care of their logistical <br />responsibilities because they did not have to. He explained this Ordinance would require local <br />trucking businesses to plan for the vehicles coming to their site. <br />Motion by Commissioner Biedenfeld, seconded by Commissioner McQuillan, to recommend the <br />City Council approve Ordinance 875, an Ordinance prohibiting on-street parking of large vehicles <br />such as semi-trucks and semi-trailers. <br />A roll call vote was taken. Approved 6-0. <br />Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola thanked Commissioner Melquist <br />for his service on the New Brighton Planning Commission and wished him well in the future. <br />VIII. Adjournment <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner McQuillan, seconded by Commissioner Frischman, to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken.
