<br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COMMISISON CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Special Use Permit: Request from Murlowski Properties Inc. to amend an <br />existing Special Use Permit and site plan to authorize expansion of an <br />existing sound mitigation wall and redistribution of previously approved <br />rubble pile storage behind the proposed wall extension at 2200 Old <br />Highway 8 – PID 17-30-23-42-0004, PID 17-30-23-42-0008, PID 17-30-23- <br />42-0009. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD’S APPROVAL: <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />15.99 Deadline: The 60-day review period for this application expires on 8/13/2018. This <br />deadline can be extended an additional 60 days if necessary. <br />Recommendations: Staff believes the SUP Amendment can be approved with conditions. <br /> Template motions, recommended findings, and suggested conditions can <br />be found on pages 11 through 13 of the report <br />Legislative History: Complete application received on 6/14/19. <br /> Published notice occurred on 7/3/19 <br /> Public hearing notices sent out on 7/2/19 <br /> Planning Commission review & public hearing scheduled for 7/16/19 <br />Financial Impact: Allowing movement of the rubble pile to a new location will allow the clean <br />landfill cap over an additional four acres of this site to compress and become <br />useable for both this and future uses thereby providing avenues to increase <br />the City’s tax base in the future. <br />Summary: Murlowski Properties Inc is seeking to amend their existing SUP for the <br />property at 2200 Old Highway 8. No new activities are proposed, but the <br />applicants are seeking permission to extend their existing sound mitigation <br />berm/wall south to allow for relocation of previously approved rubble piles <br />further south behind the new wall.
