Planning Report <br />SUP Amendment Review <br /> <br /> <br />To: Planning Commission <br />From: Ben Gozola, Assistant Director DCAD <br />Meeting Date: 7-16-19 <br />Applicants: Murlowski Properties Inc. <br />Main Contact: Anthony Murlowski <br />Location: 2200 Old Highway 8 <br />Zoning: I-1 (+ Environmental Constraint Overlay Area) <br /> <br /> <br />Introductory Information <br />Project: Murlowski Properties Inc is seeking to amend their existing SUP for the property at <br />2200 Old Highway 8. No new activities are proposed, but the applicants are seeking <br />permission to extend their existing sound mitigation berm/wall south to allow for <br />relocation of previously approved rubble piles further south behind the new wall. <br />Further clarified, the existing approved 4-acre storage site would be relocated to a new <br />4-acre storage site, and no expansion of overall storage area is proposed. <br /> <br />History: 2010: City grants approval of an SUP for aggregate recycling/crushing subject to <br />adoption of the Environmental Constraint Overlay District <br /> 2013: City approves extension for finalizing the sound mitigation berm on the <br />property given issues with the Xcel Energy easement on the property. <br /> 2014/15: City approves a final amendment to the site’s sound mitigation plan, <br />approves expansion of the site onto adjacent property, and approves a road salt <br />transfer/storage use on the site. <br /> <br />Request(s): Special Use Permit Amendment to authorize expansion of the sound mitigation <br />wall and relocation of the rubble piles to the south of their current placement behind <br />the new wall. <br /> Site Plan review to ensure consistency with local ordinances. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
