<br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COMMISISON CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Ordinances to bring the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map and Official Zoning <br />Map into Consistency <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD’S APPROVAL: <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />Deadline: The nine-month time clock to bring zoning into compliance with the <br />comprehensive plan began on July 23, 2019. Accordingly, the deadline to <br />complete all changes is approximately 4/22/19. <br />Recommendations: Staff recommends approval of both ordinances. <br /> Nearly all changes are to correct long-standing mapping problems dating <br />back to the previous comprehensive plan and possibly longer. <br />Legislative History: Comp Plan approved on 7/23/19 <br /> October 2019: Planning Commission and Council determine only changes <br />needed to bring the comp plan and zoning into consistency are a number <br />of mapping updates. <br /> Planning Commission Public Hearing on mapping updates scheduled for <br />12/17/19 <br />Financial Impact: None <br />Summary: Ordinances 869 and 872 will implement a number of future land use map and <br />zoning changes necessary to bring both maps into consistency with one <br />another.
