Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING A PRELIMINARY AND <br />FINAL PLAT FOR MURLOWSKI INDUSTRIAL PARK AT 2200 OLD HIGHWAY 8 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton is a municipal corporation, organized and existing under the <br />laws of the State of Minnesota; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of the New Brighton has adopted a comprehensive plan <br />and corresponding zoning and subdivision regulations to promote orderly development and <br />utilization of land within the city; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Murlowski Properties Inc. (the “Applicant”) made application to the City on 11/13/19 <br />for a preliminary and final plat to clean up legal descriptions for their properties at 2200 Old <br />Highway 8 legally described as in Exhibit A; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed plat will combine three of the four existing parcels into one, and will not <br />create any new lots; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff fully reviewed the request and prepared a report for consideration by the Planning <br />Commission at their meeting on December 17, 2019; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the request on December 17, <br />2019, based on the applicant’s submittals and findings of fact; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the request at their January 14, 2020, <br />meeting and considered input from residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council considered the recommendations of the Planning Commission, Staff, <br />the Applicant's submissions, the contents of the staff report, and other evidence available to the <br />Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of New Brighton <br />hereby approves the requested preliminary and final plat on the following findings of fact: <br />1. All information necessary for review of a preliminary and final plat have been submitted for <br />review. <br />2. The purpose of the new plat is to combine three parcels into one, and to clean up all <br />periphery legal descriptions to be coterminous with neighboring parcel boundaries. <br />
