REQUEST FOR COMMISISON CONSIDERATION <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Variance & Site Plan Review: Request from Lauris Valtinson for one variance to <br />accommodate a replacement sign to project above the new MnDOT sound wall <br />on I-35W for the business at 388 Cleveland Avenue SW. Council directs any revised application back to the PC. <br />8/26/20 letter from the applicant extends 60-day rule out to mid <br />December providing plenty of time to amend the application and complete <br />review. <br />9/9/20: new sign plan received for review requesting only a height <br />variance. <br />Financial Impact: None <br />Summary: Lauris Valtinson acquired the property at 386 Cleveland Avenue in 2015 <br />which included a legal nonconforming freeway sign facing I-35W.
