<br />PPE and cleaning supplies. He discussed how the department has been handling fireworks <br />calls and related injuries. He reported the department does not have enough people to chase <br />down all of the fireworks calls. <br /> <br />The Commission encouraged the Public Safety Department to put a notice on the City’s <br />website and social media outlets to discourage the use of fireworks. <br /> <br />C. City Council Update – Graeme Allen, Councilmember <br /> <br />Councilmember Allen provided the Commission with an update from the City Council. He <br />thanked Public Safety Staff, Commission members and New Brighton residents that were <br />able to attend the Listening Session that was held on July 7th. He stated this was the first of <br />many listening sessions that will be held between the City and the community. <br /> <br />The Commission requested staff provide the public with a link to the Listening Session. The <br />Commission requested the City Council consider finding a high school student to serve on <br />the Public Safety Commission. The Commission suggested the City consider having an <br />Instagram page in addition to a Facebook page. <br /> <br />VII. Adjournment <br /> <br />Motion by Ghouse, seconded by Winkels to adjourn the meeting at 8:12 p.m. A roll call vote <br />was taken.
