He was arrested <br />and booked at the Ramsey County Jail. <br /> <br />Around 12:30 am on Wednesday, November 14, New Brighton officers responded to the <br />Cub Foods on Silver Lake Road in Saint Anthony to assist with a subject who was <br />fighting with one of their officers. Upon arrival of New Brighton officers, the suspect <br />was already in custody. The male (a New Brighton resident) had an active gross <br />misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and was currently violating an Order for Protection <br />(OFP). He was also charged with obstructing the legal process. <br /> <br />On Friday, November 16, thanks to timely observation by Assistant Parks and Recreation <br />Director Jason Hicks and a quick response by patrol officers, two suspects were arrested <br />at the Community Center on who are believed to be responsible for the recent rash of <br />thefts from the locker room. Detectives executed a search warrant that weekend on the <br />suspect’s residence as part of the ongoing investigation <br /> <br />A group of five Somali males distracted the clerk at the On the Run convenience store <br />around 6 am Saturday, November 17, and stole over $600 worth of e-cigarette <br />merchandise from behind the counter before fleeing to their vehicle which left onto <br />southbound I-35W. <br /> <br />On Sunday, November 18 around 10:30 pm, New Brighton officers assisted with <br />canvassing a residential neighborhood in Mounds View for evidence and witnesses <br />following a reported shooting where the victim had been transported to the hospital by his <br />friends. <br /> <br />On November 18, squads stopped a vehicle where the drive and the passenger gave false <br />names. Upon further investigation, both parties were discovered to have felony level <br />warrants out for their arrest. Both parties were booked at the Ramsey County jail for the <br />warrants. <br /> <br />On November 19 around 2 pm, the MN State Patrol tracked a freshly stolen vehicle via <br />GPS into New Brighton and eventually Troopers stopped the car near 14th Street NW <br />and 17th Avenue NW in a residential neighborhood. The driver was compliant but <br />claimed to have ingested methamphetamine. Allina paramedics responded. Squads from <br />State Patrol, Ramsey County, and New Brighton were all on-scene. <br /> <br />On November 21, Public Safety responded to a residence on report of a child stuck in a <br />laundry chute. Using cooking oil and manpower, officers and firefighters were able to <br />free the child without causing any injury. <br /> <br />On November 21, New Brighton officers conducted a welfare check of an 85 year old <br />female who had not been heard from or seen in a couple of days. The officers forced <br />entry into her residence and found her deceased of apparent natural causes. The body <br />was released to the family and funeral home for arrangements. <br /> <br />Around 12:30 pm on November 24, a 27 year old flipped her vehicle while driving on <br />Old Highway 8 SW and County Road D.
