6 <br />officers produced the following: <br /> <br />• 72 traffic stops <br />• 6 people taken to jail <br />• 4 DWI arrests <br />• 1 drivers cited for DAR/DAS <br />• 4 vehicles towed <br /> <br />Notes: Traffic was light do to the unseasonably cold and snowy weather, but that does <br />not mean that it was unproductive. A St. Paul Officer noticed a vehicle traveling up Rice <br />Street on two flat tires. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was informed of his lack <br />of inflation. He subsequently failed SFST’s and DMT’ed at a 0.10 BAC. A New <br />Brighton Officer made 3 arrests (DWI, Warrant, and Driving After Can cellation) on only <br />10 traffic stops. Officer Wodnick and Officer Farmer participated in this saturation <br />effort. Each arrested a driver that was under the influence of alcohol. <br /> <br />On November 13, Officer Kostohryz made a traffic stop on a party who was showing <br />signs of impairment. The driver failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. <br />The 25 year old driver agreed to take a breath test which revealed a BAC of .13. He was <br />booked at the Ramsey County jail for 3rd degree DWI. <br /> <br />On November 16, Officer Pyka stopped a vehicle for numerous traffic violations. The <br />driver displayed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. He was placed under <br />arrest and agreed to take a breath test which revealed a BAC of .15. The driver was <br />booked at the Ramsey County jail for 4th degree DWI. <br /> <br />On November 17, Officer Kostohryz stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation where <br />the driver was showing signs of impairment. The driver failed field sobriety tests and <br />was placed under arrest. The 24 year old driver agreed to take a breath test which <br />revealed a BAC of .13. He was booked at the Ramsey County jail for 4th degree DWI. <br /> <br />On November 18 around 12:30 pm, officers responded to Cub Foods on report of <br />intoxicated female driver leaving the lot. The vehicle was weaving heavily and struck the <br />curb several times. Officer Craig stopped the driver and she was unable to perform field <br />sobriety tests. Her breath alcohol concentration measured .31 and she was booked at the <br />Ramsey County Jail for 3rd Degree DWI. <br /> <br />On November 21 around 1:30 am, a New Brighton officer stopped a vehicle for driving <br />over the shoulder and found that the driver had been drinking. He failed field sobriety <br />tests and provided an evidentiary breath sample of .10. He was booked for 1st Degree <br />Felony DWI based on a previous conviction for Criminal Vehicular Operation and his <br />vehicle held for forfeiture. <br /> <br />During the course of a TZD shift that started on the evening of November 21, New <br />Brighton squads made 6 traffic arrests where 3 of the arrests were for 2nd, 3rd and 4th <br />degree DWI’s. <br /> <br />On November 22, Officer Kostohryz stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver <br />showed signs of impairment and advised he was also carrying a loaded firearm. The
