Paetznick, Director of Public Safety <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />Recommendation: Authorize Staff to sell City Unit #975 a 1997 General Safety Telesquirt Pumper <br /> <br />Legislative History: The City of New Brighton Capital Asset Policy requires City Council authorization <br />for the sale of items with a value of over $50,000 <br /> <br />Financial Impact: The sale proceeds in the amount of $75,000 will be received and deposited <br />pursuant to policy governing the sale of capital assets. <br /> <br />Explanation: Following the receipt of the new Aerial fire truck, staff solicited bids pursuant to <br />City policy for the sale of unit #975 a 1997 General Safety Telesquirt Pumper via the League of <br />Minnesota Cities. Staff received one bid in the amount of $75,000 from the Moose Lake Fire <br />Department. The bid of $75,000 is on the high end of what staff anticipated receiving for the fire <br />apparatus.
