additional meeting would be needed by the City Council because there was not enough time to address all of the questions and comments that have been brought up. In addition, she supported the City holding a community conversation with the Public Safety Department. She indicated the Public Safety Director could curate meetings with the activist groups in the community or the City could hold a public meeting to facilitate these conversations. Mayor Johnson stated these issues may be addressed by reinstating the Inclusive Community Task Force or Commission to serve as a repository for these ideas to come to the Council. Massopust explained in his conversations with Councilmember Fynewever they have discussed continuing the listening and learning session to the first Tuesday in July having a conversation with the Public Safety and City Council in attendance with the public. He indicated another worksession could also be held to discuss the Public Safety Department. Councilmember Allen supported the City Council holding another worksession meeting related to this topic. Councilmember Jacobsen agreed and recommended the City’s demographics be further discussed at the future worksession meeting as well. Massopust reported the City Council could hold an additional worksession meeting on June 30th because this was the fifth Tuesday of the month and there were no other meetings scheduled for this date. Councilmember Jacobsen supported this recommendation. Councilmember Dunsworth agreed and indicated this should be a priority for the City Council. Councilmember Fynewever stated she was available on June 30th for a special worksession meeting. Mayor Johnson recommended the Council hold a special worksession meeting on June 30th.
