NEW <br />MkiBRIGHTON <br />building tomorrow today <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br />Agenda Section: VI <br />Item: 4 <br />Report Date: 2/15/21 <br />Council Meeting Date: 2/23/21 <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Consider a Resolution Approving Lease Amendment #3 forT-Mobile Central LLC's Cellular <br />Installation on the City Water Tower at 660 5th Street SW. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD'S APPROVAL:Craig Schlichting, Director DCAD <br />CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report " . \ Comments attached <br />15.99 Deadline: none <br />Recommendations: • Approval of the lease amendment to switch out site plans attached to the <br />lease. <br />Legislative History: • Sprint enters into lease with the City for space on the water tower on <br />9/15/99, and lease is subsequently amended on 7/25/05 <br />• In 2020, T -Mobile acquires Sprint <br />• T -Mobile is now changing out old Sprint equipment for T -Mobile <br />equipment, the plans for which will be attached to the lease through this <br />amendment. <br />Financial Impact: None <br />Summary: Periodically the City will receive requests from cellular carriers to update their <br />equipment within the City. When the changes include a reconfiguration or <br />relocating of equipment triggering structural review, the changes will be <br />reflected in the lease via this type of amendment.
