11th and 12tH <br />Sgt. Singer attended the annual Association of Training Officers (ATOM) Conference. <br />Deputy Director Olson, Deputy Director Paetznick and Office Supervisor Forbord <br />attended the annual BCA Leadership Conference. <br />Officer Craig attended training to become certified in the DMT (breath testing). <br />Officer Hamdorf and Officer Nerison attended the annual Homeland Security and <br />Emergency Management Conference. <br />Sgt. Singer attended the annual ATOM Leadership Conference. <br />On February 25th the North Suburban Haz Mat team conducted their regular monthly <br />training. Training this month focused on entry skills of detection equipment/monitors. <br />Det. Sypniewski and Sgt. Emerson attended training for the FBI — LEEDA Supervisor <br />Leadership Institute. <br />X. OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE <br />This section will review the ongoing administrative issues and meetings during the <br />month. This includes meetings, policy issues, ordinance changes, and personnel issues. <br />And, this also includes meetings of a county wide, regional, and/or statewide basis on <br />public safety related issues. <br />Director Jacobson spoke at a news conference in St. Paul in favor of a bill that would <br />divert the mentally ill out of the criminal justice system. This bill was introduced by <br />Senator Goodwin. <br />12 <br />
