Capt. Schute and family <br />Officer Farmer and family <br />The Police Division spent two days training on the new TriTech CAD mobile software <br />that will be used by police officers on their squad car laptops beginning next week. The <br />Ramsey County Emergency Communications Center (ECC) will be switching over to the <br />new system at 4am on Tuesday, March 24th. The existing CAD is decades old and can <br />no longer be upgraded to support the 400,000 police/fire/EMS calls handled by the <br />dispatch center for 17 different public safety agencies. This project has been in the works <br />for several years, with Director Bob Jacobson serving on the CAD steering <br />committee. With the new CAD came several locally required changes related to network <br />security, wireless access cards, and other issues that has kept our IT and Public Safety <br />15 <br />
