The Police won a closely contested game. <br />Deputy Chief Hamdorf and Firefighter Reif received Letters of Recognition for their high <br />level of response to fire calls in July, thanks guys! <br />On August 15th several members of Public Safety ran in the 10th annual Shawn Silvera <br />Memorial Run held in Lino Lakes. Members who ran included Deputy Director Tony <br />Paetznick, Firefighter Mike VanBeusekom, Officer/Firefighter Brad Krebsbach, <br />Firefighter Chris Rother, Firefighter Nate Macziewski, Firefighter Mike Nundahl, <br />Firefighter Andre Barte and Director Bob Jacobson along with former Firefighter Andy <br />Vik and Firefighter Nundahl's daughter Greta Nundahl. Greta finished 3rd in her age <br />category and New Brighton placed 3rd in the Public Safety Team Challenge (FBI was 1St, <br />Ham Lake FD was 2nd) <br />Public Safety Team for Shawn Silvera Memorial 5 K <br />Officer Cody Amberg received a Letter of Recognition for leading the patrol division in <br />seven of nineteen categories in July 2015. He led the department in follow up <br />investigations, felony arrests, gross misdemeanor arrests, misdemeanor arrests, on view <br />activity, warnings and DUI arrests. He also conducted 47 traffic stops, 25 foot patrols, <br />located six open doors and spent more than 13 hours in community policing activities. <br />Congrats to Officer Amberg! <br />20 <br />
