VI. BIAS CRIME REPORTS <br />This section will contain any information regarding bias and/or hate crimes in the City of <br />New Brighton. <br />There were no bias crime reports this month. <br />VII. VOLUNTEER SERVICES <br />This section contains information on our various volunteer organizations related to Public <br />Safety. This includes the activities of the Public Safety Commission, Police Reserves, <br />Police Explorers, and Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS). <br />Officers Kostohryz and Wodnick accompanied a group of Police Explorers to the 24th <br />annual Duluth conference during the MEA break, hosted by Voyageurs Area Council and <br />held at the Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College. The 8 participating law <br />enforcement Explorers from New Brighton earned 2nd place recognition for their <br />performance in traffic stops and 3rd place in street decisions. <br />Officers Amberg and Craig held the monthly meeting for the Police Reserves on Sunday <br />evening, October 20. <br />On Tuesday, October 22, Community Engagement Officer Krebsbach held the monthly <br />meeting for the Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS). The group is preparing for the <br />upcoming Santa Cop season. <br />13 <br />
