NEW <br />BRIGHTON <br />building tomorrow today <br />MINUTES <br />Public Safety Commission <br />February 10, 2020 City Hall <br />Council Chambers 6:30 p.m. <br />L Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Hollimon. <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners William Cook, Geoff Hollimon, Tanya Kessler, Stephanie <br />Kitzhaber, and Ache Wakai. <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Robert Boyd, Amina Ghouse, Stephanie Malone, and Karen <br />Wagner. <br />Also Present: Director Tony Paetznick, Engineer Supervisor Dustin Lind, Council Member Paul <br />Jacobsen and Dave Matteson (Allina Health). <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />Motion by Cook, seconded by Kitzhaber to approve the February 10, 2020 agenda as presented. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br />Motion by Kitzhaber, seconded by Wakai to approve the January 13, 2020 minutes as presented. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />V. Presentations and Public Hearings <br />A. 1St Avenue NW and Campus Drive Parking Restrictions and Sign Requests — Tony <br />Paetznick, Director of Public Safety <br />Director Paetznick stated at your last monthly meeting on January 13th, the Commission <br />requested further data pertaining to no parking sign requests on 1 st Avenue NW (Fountain <br />Terrace) and 601 Campus Drive after hearing the initial concerns submitted by a resident and <br />business, respectively, about ongoing parking concerns on these two city streets. <br />Engineer Supervisor Lind reviewed the traffic information from Pt Avenue NW addressing <br />the parking concerns on this roadway. He noted the action requested would be to extend the <br />"No Parking" zone to the east side of Pt Avenue from 8th Street south past the apartment <br />complex. He reviewed the location of the Fountain Terrace apartment complex and <br />
