The behaviors and actions taken by the offenders/subjects where force was used varied. It ranged from <br />passive resistance to life-threatening. Below is the type of resistance shown by suspects. Remember in <br />each incident the offender/subject may exhibit more than one type of resistance. <br />Offenders/Subjects <br />Resistance <br />— N_ <br />■ Active or Escape <br />■ Assaultive <br />■ Passive <br />Life Threatening <br />In 2019 Maplewood police officers did not use or attempt to use lethal force. In addition, no force was <br />used on a juvenile. Furthermore, of the 22 incidents where force was used, officers were dispatched to <br />17 of them.
