Director of Public Safetv <br />CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report Comments attached <br />Recommendation: Approve Resolution for Master Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) and Court <br />Services Amendment Renewal with Minnesota Bureau of Criminal <br />Apprehension (BCA). <br />Legislative History: Council last renewed the Master JPA at its meeting on January 26, 2016 after <br />originally approving the original agreement on February 8, 2011. <br />Financial Impact: n/a <br />Explanation: The Minnesota Department of Public Safety's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension <br />(BCA) is the City of New Brighton's method of access to numerous systems. This <br />includes state and federal systems allowing for driver and vehicle information, <br />criminal history data, traffic accident reporting, and the National Crime <br />Information Center. The Master Joint Powers Agreement memorializes the <br />eligibility, requirements, and limitations for access to that data. <br />Anthony S.
