December 10,2019 Page 1 of 9 <br /> NEW <br /> BRIGHTON COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> chng `°'»°``°`" today <br /> °da THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> Pursuant to notice thereof,a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, <br /> December 10,2019 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. <br /> Present: Mayor Johnson, Councilmembers Allen,Burg,Dunsworth,and Jacobsen <br /> Absent: <br /> Also Present: Devin Massopust-Acting City Manager, Sarah Sonsalla-City Attorney,Brenda Davitt- <br /> Finance Director,Craig Schlichting-Community Assets and Development Director, <br /> Jennifer Fink-Parks and Recreation Director <br /> Call to Order Call to Order <br /> Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br /> Pledge of Allegiance Pledge of Uleeiance <br /> Mayor Johnson led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Public Comment Forum Public Comment <br /> Mayor Johnson opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. Forum <br /> Kiersten Sersland, 780 First Avenue NW, stated she had concerns with the parking situation <br /> along First Avenue in front of the Fountain Terrace apartments. She indicated the parking <br /> situation becomes exceedingly more dangerous during the winter months when the road <br /> becomes more narrow and cars are parked further into the street. She requested a"No Parking <br /> Zone"be placed on First Avenue all along the apartment property. She explained her mini-van <br /> was recently totaled because a driver couldn't see around a corner. She indicated she has <br /> spoken with engineering and the Public Safety Department regarding her concerns and <br /> requested the Council take action before further accidents occur. <br /> Approval of Agenda Approval of Agenda <br /> Apovalthe <br /> Approval of the December 10,2019 Council Agenda.
