Project 21-4, 2021 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project will now include the installation of a structural liner within the
existing sanitary sewer main, which lies directly beneath a large utility duct operated by Lumen. The structural
liner will extend the lifespan of the sanitary sewer in the project area, reduce inflow and infiltration into the
sanitary sewer system, and safeguard the City from costly future excavations which would be needed to make
sanitary sewer repairs.
Costs and Funding: The project will be funded with reimbursement funds from Lumen, fund 702, and
Metropolitan Council grant funding ($50,000). The CIP includes annual allocations of $200,000 for sewer pipe
lining.
