Council Business <br /> Commission Liaison <br /> Commission Liaison Reports,Announcements and Updates Reports, <br /> Announcements and <br /> Updates <br /> Devin Massopust <br /> City Manager Massopust reported the City was hosting a vaccination clinic for children ages 5 <br /> to 11 in partnership with Ramsey County at the Community Center on Wednesday,November <br /> 10. He stated another clinic would be held on Wednesday,November 17 and November 24. <br /> He noted the first indoor winter farmers market would be held at the Community Center on <br /> Wednesday,November 10. He explained the City recently hired Mark Suggs as the DEI <br /> Coordinator. <br /> Graeme Allen <br /> Councilmember Allen reported he attended the Public Safety Department's open house along <br /> with the pumpkin walk. He indicated the Public Safety Commission met on Monday, <br /> November 8 and discussed Allina 911 calls for service, staffing issues, traffic safety, and how <br /> the City responds to traffic concerns or sign requests. He noted the Public Safety Commission <br /> made a recommendation to the City Council to add a pedestrian crossing on Innsbruck Drive. <br /> He encouraged residents to check their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors to ensure <br /> they are working properly. He discussed the complimentary services being provided by Honest <br /> One Auto and Brighton Unique Auto for those hoping to have their catalytic convertors <br /> marked. Lastly, he thanked all those who have served this country. <br /> Pam Axberg <br /> Councilmember Axberg reported the EDC met on Wednesday,November 3. She explained <br /> this group discussed the parks comprehensive plan, tourism and outreach to local businesses. <br /> Abdullahi Abdulle <br /> Councilmember Abdulle reported the Planning Commission would meet next on Tuesday, <br /> November 16. He discussed the federal infrastructure bill and believed this bill would be <br /> important for the entire country. He commented further on the Justice 40 bill. He stated on <br /> Monday Minnesota marked 426 deaths to people that died on Minnesota streets. He indicated <br /> these deaths are preventable and noted he was interested in discussing the speed of traffic in <br /> residential areas. He discussed the initiatives that were in place to address this growing trend. <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas congratulated staff for hosting pumpkin carving and the wonderful <br /> Pumpkin Walk. She explained she attended a Mayor/Manager meeting with surrounding cities <br /> this afternoon where development was discussed. She reported she attended the Regional <br /> Council of Mayors meeting this week noting the group discussed the future of office space and <br /> post pandemic cities. She congratulated the newly elected Mounds View School <br />
