Due to the COVID-19 pandemic <br /> this hybrid meeting was held both virtually and in person. <br /> Present: Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas, Councilmembers Allen,Axberg, and Dunsworth <br /> Absent: Councilmember Abdulle <br /> Also Present: Devin Massopust-City Manager, Sarah Sonsalla-City Attorney, Ben Gozola-Assistant <br /> Director of Community Assets and Development <br /> Call to Order Call to Order <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas welcomed Brenna Paetznick to the City Council Chambers noting <br /> she was the Mayor for a day essay contest winner. Brenna Paetznick called the meeting to <br /> order at 6:30 pm. <br /> Pledge of Allegiance Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Brenna Paetznick led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Public Comment Forum Public Comment <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. Approval of the <br /> April 13,2021 <br /> Agenda. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Axberg, seconded by Councilmember Dunsworth to approve <br /> the agenda as submitted. <br /> A roll call vote was taken. <br /> 4 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried <br /> Special Order of Business Special Order of <br /> Business <br /> 1.Special Recognition of <br /> 1. Special Recognition of Brenna Paetznick,Mayor for a Day Essay Contest Winner. Brenna Paetznick,Mayor <br /> for a Day Essay Contest <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas read Brenna Paetznick's League of Minnesota Cities essay in full for the record winner. <br /> and congratulated her for being the contest winner. A round of applause was offered by all in attendance. <br /> Brenna Paetznick thanked the Council for the recognition and explained she learned about the essay contest <br /> from her dad. <br /> Councilmember Dunsworth stated she was very proud of Brenna Paetznick for participating in this contest <br /> and for being the winner.She encouraged Ms.Paetznick to keep up the great work noting she was a <br /> tremendous role model for the other students at Bel Air Elementary School. <br /> Councilmember Axberg congratulated Brenna Paetznick on her essay and for how comprehensive she was in <br />
