This meeting will also <br /> include Commissioners from the Economic Development Commission and Planning Commission. She <br /> discussed the topic that would be addressed and welcome representatives from the Urban Land Institute to the <br /> meeting. <br /> Cathy Bennett thanked the City Council and staff for inviting her to attend this workshop meeting. She stated <br /> she was happy to be in attendance with her ULI team of real estate experts. She discussed the mission and <br /> vision for ULI which was to foster collaboration, share knowledge and influence meaningful strategic action in <br /> the responsible use of land to create and sustain thriving communities. She explained this was done through <br /> sponsorship of the Regional Council of Mayors, which now had 60 mayor members. She described the <br /> advisory services provided by ULI, which included workshops like this. She reviewed quick facts on New <br /> Brighton noting median household income and the demographics of the community. The gap in wages and <br /> housing costs in Ramsey County was discussed. She described how the pandemic has changed the way people <br /> work, shop, and drive. She than asked her panelists to introduce themselves to the City Council. <br />
