He commented further on how it was becoming more common for <br /> people to live without a car in urban areas and how this was impacting parking ratios. <br /> Mr. Opara stated in addition,banks want buildings to be properly parked. <br /> Mr. Parritz commented further on how TIF can be used to fill gaps in financing. <br /> Councilmember Allen stated affordability was concern for all segments of the population in New Brighton. He <br /> explained the Council was trying to better understand the needs in the community and was pleased the City had <br /> just completed two different affordable housing projects. He discussed how the City has been working with <br /> Ramsey County to preserve NOA. He anticipated the City's opportunities for having development and <br /> housing meet may have a short timeframe and could be located along Old Highway 8 or Silver Lake Road. <br /> Ms. Bennett thanked the Mayor and Council for hosting this event.
