August 24,2021 Page 1 of 10 <br /> NE1�� <br /> BRIGHTON COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> building tomorrow today THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, <br /> August 24, 2021 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. <br /> Present: Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas, Councilmembers Abdulle, Allen, Axberg and Dunsworth <br /> Absent: <br /> Also Present: Devin Massopust-City Manager, Tony Paetznick-Public Safety Director, Gina Foschi- <br /> Interim Finance Director, Craig Schlichting-Director of Community Assets and <br /> Development, Ben Gozola-Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development, <br /> Terri Spangrud-City Clerk <br /> Call to Order Call to Order <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br /> Pledge of Allegiance Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Public Comment Forum Public Comment <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. Forum <br /> Linda Neary, 559 Old Stein Circle, asked what was going on with the pond and fountain. She <br /> noted the fountain was not operating at this time. She explained she lived in Brighton Green <br /> and reported noise on Old Highway 8 was quite loud. She requested the City considering <br /> beautifying the hedge along the property line. <br /> Jill Steinke, 559 Old Stein Circle, indicated she lived in Brighton Green as well. She <br /> encouraged the City to look into replacing the hedge. She commented the hedge was on City <br /> property and she hoped it could be replaced. <br /> Approval of Agenda Approval of Agenda <br /> Approval of the August 24,2021 Council Agenda.
