' Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas thanked Mr. Delaune for coming in and applying for this position. She noted City <br />Clerk Spangrud would be in touch with further information on how the Council was moving forward. <br />Appointment Discussion <br />Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas stated out of the 17 candidates that were interviewed, the Council would have to <br />select nine members. She indicated she was pleased by all of the extra effort staff and the Council put into <br />recruiting individuals for the Equity Commission. She commented staff would be in touch with the members <br />appointed to set up their terms. <br />Massopust requested each Councilmember list their top nine candidates. The Councilmembers reviewed their <br />top nine candidates. <br />Councilmember Abdulle requested the process that was followed to set up the candidate interviews be further <br />discussed at a future worksession meeting in order to address the time and date concern that was expressed this <br />evening. <br />Massopust reminded the Council that he would need all of the documentation at the end of the meeting. <br />After much discussion Council consensus was to appoint candidates 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14, 18, and 19 with 21 <br />serving as an alternate. <br />I <br />Worksession adjourned at 7:23 pm <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Terri Spangrud <br />City Clerk <br />
