I worked for the City of
Minneapolis for close to 15 years. My experience with Minneapolis concentrated in the areas of governmental relations and public safety. Through my service with the League of MN cities and Metro Cities, I have a strong knowledge of municipal issues and governance.
I currently work at the University of Minnesota where I will celebrate my 10 year anniversary on
February 6th. My duties at the University are very wide-ranging but encompass budget/finance, supervision,
HR and technology.
Continue the work this commission has started and explore the ways in which the commission
can continue to make New Brighton a safe place to live, work and enjoy. Public safety,
especially policing issues, has seen significant changes and challenges over the last few years
and I hope this commission will continue to work to build trust with the community and seek
ways for improvement. I think the Public Safety Commission will also be ac ive as new residential developments are completed and additional residents move into the City
I greatly appreciate the steps the City took over the last few years to allow members and the
community to attend virtual meetings.
