Over the past three years, Fridley residents and <br />businesses have taken important steps toward reducing energy use, saving an average <br />of 1.6 percent of electricity consumed, and 1.4 percent of natural gas consumed per <br />year through participation in conservation improvement programs.13 <br /> <br /> <br />13 Conservation improvement programs include the portfolio of approved utility energy efficiency and <br />demand management programs. Minnesota electric utilities have a goal of saving 1.5 percent of their total <br />energy sales each year via customer conservation efforts.
