<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Public Safety Commission <br />March 14, 2022 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m. by Vice Chair Wagner. Due to the COVID-19 <br />pandemic this meeting was held virtually. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners Robert Boyd, Amina Ghouse, Dan Judd, Stephanie Kitzhaber, <br />Adam Stout, and Karen Wagner. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Chair Geoff Hollimon, Leah Kuipers, and Jack Winkels. <br /> <br />Also Present: Director Tony Paetznick and Dave Matteson (Allina Health). <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Kitzhaber, seconded by Judd to approve the March 14, 2022 agenda as amended <br />moving the Allina Health Report after Approval of Minutes. A roll call vote was taken. Motion <br />carried 6-0. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Judd, seconded by Ghouse to approve the February 14, 2022 minutes as presented. A <br />roll call vote was taken. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />VI. Reports and Updates <br /> <br />A. Allina Health – Dave Matteson <br /> <br />Dave Mattson provided the Commission with an update from Allina Health. He updated the <br />Commission on COVID stating there was a significant decrease, but noted people were still <br />getting sick. He reviewed the call volume for New Brighton for January and February and <br />discussed the response time for these calls. He reported he had two new supervisors started <br />with Allina today and noted several other EMT’s were in the academy. He stated Allina <br />would be getting a new ambulance. He commented on how outgoing ambulances were <br />donated to other law enforcement agencies for repurposing, but stated this will not occur <br />until Allina receives more replacements. He described the accreditation process Allina was <br />going through at this time and discussed the masking requirements for Allina. <br /> <br />
