<br />• Partnerships with local businesses should be considered in order to reach all members of <br />the community. <br />• The Commission encouraged staff to be intentional with its data collection when hosting <br />an event. <br />• Director Fink invited the Commission members to visit the Community Center in order to <br />receive a tour. <br />• City Administrator Massopust thanked the Commission for their feedback and <br />encouraged them to reach out to him or Director Fink with any other input they may <br />have. <br /> <br />VI. Report from Council Liaison <br /> <br />Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas provided the Commission an update from the City Council. She stated <br />the State of the City video would be released soon. She explained the upcoming newsletter <br />would have metrics from the City. She commented on a conversation she was having with <br />others in the region looking at north metro schools and the suburbanization of poverty. She <br />reported Ramsey County Attorney John Choi recently attended a Council worksession meeting. <br />She discussed the conversation she had with the new Ramsey County Commission Chair. It was <br />noted the City’s new precincts and polling locations would be approved at the next Council <br />meeting. She indicated the Council has been discussing its rental inspection process. She <br />discussed the conversations that were held with Sourcewell, which would be serving as the <br />contractor for the park improvements. Lastly, she noted the Council held a strategic planning <br />session with department heads in order to plan for the coming year. <br /> <br />The Commission suggested the City consider having the State of the City and all City meetings <br />have subtitles. City Manager Massopust reported he would look into this with Nine North. <br /> <br />The Commission asked if staff had made a determination regarding Juneteenth. City Manager <br />Massopust reported staff and the Council were still discussing this matter. <br /> <br />VII.
