Councilmember Axberg discussed the front line worker pay that was approved by the State legislature and
recommended staff let City employees know if they qualify to apply for this pay.

Foschi provided the Council with general Finance Department updates noting the 2021 audit would be
presented at the Council meeting this evening. She reported staff received a clean or unmodified opinion,
which was the cleanest report the City could receive. She gave the Council an update on the legislative changes
that would impact the license bureau noting these changes would reduce revenues going forward.

Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas asked that staff provide the Council with historical head count information for each
department. She believed this would be valuable information for the Council when considering the 2023
budget.

Massopust thanked the Council for their input and explained the Council would be reviewing the 2023 budget
again in July.

Worksession adjourned at 5:56 pm

Respectfully submitted,

Terri Spangrud
City Clerk
