July 12, 2022 Page 3 of 3 <br />Graeme Allen <br />Councilmember Allen reported the Public Safety Commission would meet next on Monday, <br />August 8 at 6:30 p.m. He welcomed newly appointed Commissioner Roberto Valdizan to the <br />Public Safety Commission. <br /> <br />Emily Dunsworth <br />Councilmember Dunsworth reported she attended the joint EDC/PREC meeting on <br />Wednesday, July 6 where the group discussed wayfinding and place making signage. <br /> <br />Abdullahi Abdulle <br />Councilmember Abdulle reported the Planning Commission meeting for June and July had <br />been canceled. <br /> <br />Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas <br />Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas reported today was the grand opening for the two Dominium <br />complexes in Midtown Village. She noted tours were available of these properties. She <br />explained City staff has put together a redistricting map with new polling locations for <br />residents and this information was available on the City’s website. She explained the Council <br />would not be meeting on August 2 or August 9. She encouraged residents to take part in <br />Stockyard Days which would be held Friday, August 12 through Sunday, August 14. She <br />stated she attended a regional council of mayor’s meeting where the group invited in school <br />superintendents to learn about schooling issues in local communities. She indicated she <br />attended a North Metro mayor/manager meeting yesterday and noted those in attendance <br />discussed the TCAAP site. She stated the farmers market was held each Wednesday from 3:00 <br />p.m. to 7:00 p.m. She encouraged residents to visit the City’s website and to provide feedback <br />on several parks matters. She noted the Council received feedback regarding a fence that has <br />been placed between Lions Park and Long Lake Regional Park.
